Acquired Brain Injury Program
The Acquired Brain Injury Program (ABI) is a partnership between SGI and Sun Country Health Region. This program implements services and supports for people with acquired brain injuries and their families so that they may live successfully in their communities with improved quality of life.
Envision’s In-Home Workers are contracted through Sun Country Health Region to provide in-home services to clients of the ABI program. Clients have a diagnosis of moderate to severe acquired brain injury and are medically stable. The workers support the client in engaging in meaningful activity, becoming more independent, and becoming more integrated in the community.
The program is client-centred, individualized and flexible to meet the specific needs of each participant. Program activities will take place in the community and when required, in the individual's home environment.
Referrals to this program come directly from Sun Country Health Region’s ABI program.
