In-Home Support Program At Envision:
The In-Home Support Program is a service providing intensive in-home supports to families and individuals.
The Family Support Program is funded by The Ministry of Social Services, Sun Country Health Region funds the Child and Youth Program and the Acquired Brain Injury Program.
It is Envision Counselling and Support Centre’s belief that when families are given support, education and resources, they are able to recognize and build on their strengths. The emphasis is on maintaining the family unit by providing supportive services that strengthen the entire family.
Referrals to these programs come directly from the agencies that fund them.
Why The Name Change?Over the last several years, the "Violence Intervention Program" has grown to include new programming.
Two years ago, the Board of Directors and Staff began a strategic planning process and observed that the name no longer represented the scope of services being offered. It was also felt that while our name included the word 'Intervention', the focus of our programming has always been on 'Prevention'.
When a needs assessment was completed in Southeast Saskatchewan, the feedback from individuals and agencies was similar. At that time, an Ad-Hoc Committee was formed and a new Name, Vision and Mission statement was created:
Our Mission:
We encourage and support healthy choices in individuals, families and communities by offering innovative programming and diverse counselling and support services.
Our vision:
We envision all individuals living in a happy, healthy environment.
We hope you are as excited about our new name as we are!
