Online Counselling For Southeast Saskatchewan
Envision Counselling and Support Centre is excited to announce we are now offering online counselling (E-counselling). E-Counselling opens new doors for women and youth who are isolated and finding attending face-to-face sessions difficult.
E-Counselling can be accessed through a secure website by accessing the Internet from home, workplaces, schools, public libraries, and community access sites.
Women living in remote and isolated areas and women with disabilities have found that the Internet provides an effective means to seek information and communicate, in Southeast Saskatchewan, Canada.
Online counselling is an opportunity for women to speak to a counsellor at Envision Counselling and Support Centre and receive ongoing support. Sessions will be scheduled with a counsellor during a specific appointment time and will be approximately one hour long.
HOW DOES E-COUNSELLING WORK?
Prior to engaging in online communication, an assessment is done every session which includes safety and any change in circumstance.
The client will be informed before receiving E-Counselling about the process, the counsellor, the potential risks, benefits, safeguards and alternatives to online counselling.
A non-judgemental, non-medical approach to services will be offered, building on the strengths of the client.
An online safety assessment will be completed each and every time the client logs on for a session.
Online counselling will not be offered in crisis situations. In such cases, the client will be directed to appropriate agencies for immediate assistance.
HOW CAN I RECEIVE E-COUNSELLING?
A client assessment can be done either by emailing Envision’s website (see contact us tab at the left) directly or you can contact Envision’s offices to set up an appointment with a counsellor.
